Job summary

Jora Malaysia is hiring for a QA/QC role on a 4-month contract in Penang. You will monitor and administer QA/QC across construction projects to ensure compliance with material specifications and QA/QC plans, aligning with Qlassic standards.

The position involves preparing inspection plans, writing method statements, and supporting audits on-site. Responsibilities include coordinating NCRs, managing WIRs with contractors and consultants, and tracking submittals, RFI logs, and maintenance records

Qualifications

• Monitor and administer QA/QC to ensure materials meet approved specifications.
• QA/QC Plan compliance and Qlassic standard adherence.
• Ensure construction teams meet quality of materials, processes and workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and administer QA/QC to ensure incorporated materials on construction projects comply with approved material specifications.
• Assure work is performed per approved QA/QC Plan and meets Qlassic quality standards.
• Ensure construction teams meet acceptable quality of materials, processes and workmanship per QA/QC Plan.
• Review and write Method of Statements & construction methodology; track material approvals.
• Support and participate in internal/external quality audits on site.
• Prepare an Inspection and Testing Plan identifying inspection/test stages for work items and subcontracts.
• Coordinate NCRs issued by clients and monitor rectification; close NCR within 28 days.
• Prepare and execute Work Inspection Requests with Main contractor and Consultants; follow up.
• Monitor & review submittals, RFI logs, maintenance logs, and other project materials with Document Controller.
• Attend quality management meetings.

• To monitor and administer QA/QC to ensure incorporated materials on construction projects are in compliance with approved material specifications;
• To assure work is performed as per approved QA/ QC Plan and meets or exceeds the required quality as per Qlassic standard;
• To ensure the construction teams are meeting the acceptable quality of materials, processes, and workmanship in the project work as per QA/QC Plan;
• To review and write up Method of statements & construction methodology and keep track material approvals status;
• Supports and participates in all the internal/external quality audits on site;
• To prepare an Inspection and Testing Plan that identifies the number and stages of each inspection and test on all items of work, including of his subcontractor and nominated subcontractos and to identify which activity may not require inspection;
• Coordinate Non comformance Report (NCR) issued by clients and monitor subcontractor for rectification work and carry out inspection to close NCR within twenty eight (28) days or any specified duration requested by clients;
• Prepare and carry out Work Inspection Request (WIR) with Main contractor and Consultant, and follow up on the status;
• To monitor & review submittals, RFI logs, maintenance logs, and other project related materials with Document controller in a timely manner;
• Attend quality management meetings.
