CHINA ENERGY ENGINEERING GROUP GUANGXI ELECTRIC POWER DESIGN INSTITUTE CO.LTD is seeking a QA/QC professional to develop and implement the Project Quality Plan, ITPs, method statements, and quality checklists for civil works in Malaysia.

The role involves inspecting earthworks, reinforcement, formwork, concreting, structural and finishing works, and coordinating inspections with consultants, clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Engineering graduates with 5+ years’ experience in energy or construction projects in Malaysia.
• Bachelor’s degree or above; able to handle market communication, business negotiation, site management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Project Quality Plan, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and quality checklists.
• Ensure civil works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, contract requirements, and applicable standards.
• Inspect civil works including earthworks, reinforcement, formwork, concreting, structural and finishing works.
• Inspect incoming materials and verify compliance with material submissions and technical specs.
• Coordinate site inspections with consultants, clients, subcontractors and the construction team.
• Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IRs/RFIs) for completed works.
• Monitor field and laboratory tests including concrete slump tests, cube tests, and soil compaction tests.
• Identify non-conforming work, issue NCRs, and monitor corrective actions.
• Record site defects and follow up on rectification until closure.
• Prepare QA/QC daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Maintain quality documentation (inspection records, test reports, certificates, drawings).
• Participate in internal and external quality audits and ensure ISO 9001 compliance.
• Assist with final inspections, testing and commissioning, handover documentation and as-built records.
• Ensure the project team uses latest revisions of approved drawings and documents.

Job description

Job Requirements:

Candidates have full working rights for Malaysia, graduated from engineering majors such as construction and energy for more than 5 years, bachelor's degree or above, can complete market communication, business negotiation, site management and other related work of Malaysian energy engineering projects as required, arranged according to personal needs and development direction.
