Job summary

LUCKY WOOD MANUFACTURING SDN BHD is seeking a QA/QC Assistant Manager to lead quality assurance and quality control across raw materials, production, packaging and shipments. You will work with Production, Engineering, Warehouse, Purchasing and R&D to prevent issues, resolve complaints and strengthen the factory's quality culture.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or related field
• Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in manufacturing
• Experience in furniture, woodworking or panel furniture preferred
• Experience supervising QA/QC teams
• Familiar with ISO 9001:2015, FSC, FCCA, CT-PAT & SC Audit

Job description

The QA/QC Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting and managing the overall Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities of the manufacturing operation. The role ensures that raw materials, production processes, finished products, packaging, and shipments comply with customer specifications, internal quality standards, regulatory requirements, and applicable certification requirements. The position will work closely with Production, Engineering, Warehouse, Purchasing, R&D and other departments to prevent quality issues, resolve customer complaints, improve manufacturing processes, and build a strong quality culture throughout the factory.

Key responsibilities :

Manage daily QA/QC activities for incoming materials, production, packing and finished goods

Ensure products meet customer specifications, drawings and quality standards

Supervise QC inspectors and arrange daily inspection activities

Handle customer complaints, root cause analysis and corrective actions

Work closely with Production, Engineering and Warehouse to reduce defects and rework

Analyze quality data and identify improvement opportunities

Monitor RTA furniture assembly, hardware completeness, packing and labelling accuracy

Conduct process audits and follow up on quality issues

Support customer audits, internal audits and quality system requirements

Prepare quality reports and monitor quality KPIs

About you :

Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or related field

Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in manufacturing

Experience in furniture, woodworking or panel furniture is preferred

Experience supervising QA/QC teams

Familiar with 8D, 5 Why, CAPA and root cause analysis

Able to read drawings, specifications and BOM

Good problem-solving, communication and leadership skills

Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia

Mandarin communication is an added advantage

Well experienced with ISO 9001:2015, FSC, FCCA, CT-PAT & SC Audit
