Job summary

Tentacle Tech is seeking a detail-oriented Functional Tester for an on-site role in Kuala Lumpur, focusing on banking sector projects. You will contribute to high-impact testing across critical applications, ensuring quality and reliability within structured testing processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop test scripts, test conditions, input test data, and expected results for component, assembly, product, performance, user acceptance, and technical architecture tests.
• Develop, update, and maintain testing standards and procedures.
• Execute test scripts and record problems and issues in line with project problem and issue management plans.
• Collaborate with the application team to resolve issues arising from the testing process.
• Participate in the release control process to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
• Validate product fixes and inform the test lead/manager of any issues affecting schedule, budget, or quality.

The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Functional Tester to join a dynamic project within the banking sector, working on-site in Kuala Lumpur. What You'll Do

• Develop test scripts, test conditions, input test data, and expected results for component, assembly, product, performance, user acceptance, and technical architecture tests
• Develop, update, and maintain testing standards and procedures
• Execute test scripts and record problems and issues in line with project problem and issue management plans
• Collaborate with the application team to resolve issues arising from the testing process

What We're Looking For

• 4-8 years of relevant testing experience, ideally within the banking sector
• Diploma in Computer Science/IT or related field

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to document and follow detailed test scripts and defect tracking
• Good communication skills, email etiquette, and the ability to work independently under pressure
