Job summary

Jora Malaysia will close on 9th September 2026. Support the Quality Assurance team by monitoring product quality, investigating quality issues, conducting inspections and audits, preparing quality reports and documentation, and driving process improvements.

The role requires a Certificate/Diploma in Engineering or a related field, with at least 2 years of experience in a FATP/SMT quality or ORT/reliability testing environment, along with a basic understanding of QA/QC processes and inspection

Qualifications

• Certificate / Diploma in Engineering, Quality, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of quality or inspection experience in FATP or SMT.
• Minimum 2 years of lab, ORT, or reliability testing experience.
• Basic understanding of QA/QC processes and shopfloor operations.
• Familiar with basic inspection tools and quality concepts.
• Basic knowledge of reliability tests (thermal, humidity, vibration, drop).

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and technical support to the QA Engineer.
• Launch new model and setup new line.
• Evaluate and qualify new material not in AVL.
• Coordinate product quality issues detected by production and customers.
• Follow up components and customer return failure analysis.
• Embark process improvement projects with test and process engineers.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly quality reports.
• Prepare and update Visual Aids, Deviation and Purge Notice documents.
• Perform periodic process audits based on customer or internal checklists.
• Verify defective incoming materials and evaluate with test/manufacturing for QA disposition.
• Follow up closure of Corrective Action Reports.
• Prepare Quality Yield Target reports for review.

Support the Quality Assurance team by monitoring product quality, investigating quality issues, conducting inspections and audits, preparing quality reports and documentation, and driving process improvements. The role requires a Certificate/Diploma in Engineering or a related field, with at least 2 years of experience in a FATP/SMT quality or ORT/reliability testing environment, along with a basic understanding of QA/QC processes and inspection techniques.

Job Responsibilities:

• To enhance the capabilities of the Quality Assurance Department by providing administrative and technical support to the QA Engineer.
• Launch new model and setup new line.
• Evaluate and qualify new material which is not in AVL.
• Follow up and coordinate product quality issues which are detected by production and customer.
• Follow up components and customer return failure analysis.
• Embark process improvement projects with test engineering, process engineering and production for process and customer top process defects.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly quality report.
• Prepare and update documents including Visual Aid, Deviation and Purge Notice.
• Perform periodic process audit based on customer or Jabil internal process checklist.
• Verify defective incoming materials and evaluate incoming material with test and manufacturing engineering for Quality Notice (QN) final disposition.
• Follow up for closure of Corrective Action Report.
• Prepare Quality Yield Trend Target Report for Quality Engineer / Assistant QE review.
• Support screening activities.
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the immediate superior from time to time and records retention kept if deemed necessary.

Well versed in using Standard PC software, working knowledge of soldering techniques/applications. Ability to interpret data and provide input to systems critical in the quality structure

Job Requirements:

• Certificate / Diploma in Engineering, Quality, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of quality or inspection experience in FATP or SMT environment (FATP QE)
• Minimum 2 years of lab, ORT, or reliability testing experience (ORT)
• Basic understanding of QA/QC processes and shopfloor operations
• Familiar with basic inspection tools and quality concepts
• Basic knowledge of reliability tests (thermal, humidity, vibration, drop, etc.)
• Able to follow test procedures and work independently with guidance
