H.K.L. Metal Works Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated QA/QC Site Engineer to join our team in Cyberjaya, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of quality assurance and quality control across our construction projects. As a QA/QC Site Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all works comply with specifications, standards and contractual requirements. This role is integral to our commitment to delivering excellence and maintaining our reputation for superior construction quality. You will work on-site, overseeing various phases of construction projects and liaising with project teams to ensure compliance with all quality benchmarks.
Key responsibilities:-
- Develop and enforce QA/QC procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and project requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction works to ensure compliance with approved specifications, drawings, and quality standards
- Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation, inspection records, checklists and reports.
- Prepare and submit Work Method Statement (WMS) and Operation & Maintenance Manual (OMM) to Main Contractor & Client.
- Perform material testing and verification to confirm that all materials meet required standards before installation
- Monitor workmanship quality, identify, document, and address non-conformances, coordinating corrective and preventive measures effectively.
- Coordinate with project manager, contractors, subcontractors and site supervisors to ensure quality requirements are understood and implemented
- Prepare daily and weekly quality reports detailing inspection results, testing outcomes and any issues encountered
- Liaise with project managers, engineers and clients regarding quality-related matters and progress updates
- Recommend corrective and preventative actions to address quality issues and prevent future non-conformances
- Ensure all QA/QC activities adhere to health and safety regulations and standards, promoting a safe working environment.
- Any ad-hoc duties assigned by the Superior and/or the Management.
Qualification/ Job Requirements:-
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or its equivalent field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a QA/QC role in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of of QA/QC standards and procedures.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies and quality issues
- Solid understanding of relevant construction codes, standards and regulatory requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
