Job summary

H.K.L. Metal Works Sdn Bhd in Cyberjaya, Selangor, is hiring a QA/QC Site Engineer for on-site quality assurance across construction projects.

The role requires ensuring compliance with specifications, standards and contractual requirements, with emphasis on documenting inspections and coordinating with project teams. The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, with at least 2 years in QA/QC within construction.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of QA/QC experience in construction.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC standards and procedures.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specs and technical docs.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Solid understanding of construction codes and regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for teamwork.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce QA/QC procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and project requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction works to ensure compliance with specs, drawings and quality standards.
• Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation, inspection records, checklists and reports.
• Prepare and submit Work Method Statement (WMS) and Operation & Maintenance Manual (OMM) to Main Contractor and Client.
• Perform material testing and verification to confirm materials meet required standards before installation.
• Monitor workmanship quality and address non-conformances with corrective actions.
• Coordinate with project manager, contractors, subcontractors and site supervisors to ensure quality requirements are understood and implemented.
• Prepare daily and weekly quality reports detailing inspection results and issues.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers and clients on quality matters and progress.
• Recommend corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues.
• Ensure QA/QC activities adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Handle ad-hoc duties assigned by Superior/Management.

H.K.L. Metal Works Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated QA/QC Site Engineer to join our team in Cyberjaya, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of quality assurance and quality control across our construction projects. As a QA/QC Site Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all works comply with specifications, standards and contractual requirements. This role is integral to our commitment to delivering excellence and maintaining our reputation for superior construction quality. You will work on-site, overseeing various phases of construction projects and liaising with project teams to ensure compliance with all quality benchmarks.

Key responsibilities:-

Qualification/ Job Requirements:-

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or its equivalent field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a QA/QC role in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of of QA/QC standards and procedures.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies and quality issues
• Solid understanding of relevant construction codes, standards and regulatory requirements
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
