TKR Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to oversee offshore installation and pre-commissioning quality activities. You will ensure compliance with project specs, procedures and client requirements, while leading inspection, testing and documentation across marine construction projects.
Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, 7+ years in Oil & Gas, and proven QA/QC management experience, with offshore exposure and knowledge of ITPs, NCRs
To manage and oversee all Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) activities for offshore installation and pre-commissioning projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, approved procedures, applicable standards and client requirements.
Quality Management
Develop and implement Project Quality Plans, ITPs and QA/QC procedures.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards and contractual requirements.
Monitor overall project quality performance.
Inspection & Testing
Coordinate inspections for marine construction, pipe stringing, welding, rigging, diving, ROV, survey, coating, NDT and pre-commissioning.
Monitor welding, NDT and field joint coating activities.
Ensure inspection equipment, personnel and processes are properly qualified and certified.
Quality Control
Conduct quality inspections, audits and surveillance for onshore and offshore activities.
Manage NCRs, defects and corrective actions.
Ensure material and equipment traceability and certification.
Documentation
Review and maintain inspection reports, test certificates, material certificates and QA/QC records.
Ensure timely submission of quality documentation and final QA/QC dossiers.
Client & Subcontractor Coordination
Coordinate with clients, consultants, third-party inspectors and subcontractors on quality matters.
Monitor subcontractor and vendor compliance with project QA/QC requirements.
Project Handover
Ensure all inspection, testing and punch-list requirements are completed.
Support project completion, handover and final documentation.
Ensure work is inspected and accepted in accordance with approved quality requirements
Reject or recommend suspension of work that does not comply with approved specifications, procedures or quality requirements.
Issue and manage NCRs and require corrective actions from responsible parties.
Coordinate directly with clients, third-party inspectors and subcontractors on QA/QC matters.
Recommend improvements to project quality processes and procedures.
Escalate major quality issues, repeated non-conformances and risks to Project Management.
Education: Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Engineering, Quality Management or related field.
Experience: Minimum 7 years' experience in the Oil & Gas industry. Minimum 2 years' experience in a QA/QC Manager or similar position. Experience in offshore installation, marine construction, pipeline/flexible installation or precommissioning. Relevant QA/QC, welding, NDT or inspection certifications will be an advantage.
Languages: Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken).
Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of offshore oil & gas installation and construction. Understanding of welding, NDT, field joint coating and inspection requirements. Knowledge of pipeline, flexible and marine installation activities. Familiarity with ITP, Quality Plans, NCR, inspection procedures and QA/QC documentation. Knowledge of relevant oil & gas, marine, welding, NDT, coating and HSE standards.
