Job description

Seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer to lead quality inspection and verification of semiconductor tool hook‑up works, with additional QA/QC coverage of cleanroom construction M&E works, ensuring full compliance with client fab standards, high‑purity system requirements, and Malaysian statutory requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing

Semiconductor Tool Hook‑Up – QA/QC (Primary Focus)

Lead quality inspection of the full tool hook‑up scope, covering:

Mechanical: process gas and specialty gas lines, chemical distribution and exhaust/scrubber connections, CDA/N₂ and process air final connections, DI/RO water and chilled water interface

Electrical: power supply installation and termination to tools, grounding/bonding and EMC, control and signal wiring, panel integration and tool power commissioning

Witness and sign off on flushing, leak tests, hi‑pot tests, resistance tests, orbital weld inspections, and pre‑commissioning checks

Raise, track, and close out NCRs, CARs, and punch lists through to resolution

Maintain weld logs, inspection checklists, travelers, and test records per project documentation standards

Verify hook‑up works comply with client fab standards, MS Standards, and DOSH/JKKP requirements for high‑purity semiconductor environments

Cleanroom Construction – QA/QC (Secondary Coverage)

Inspect M&E works during cleanroom construction (HVAC/ACMV, chilled/condenser water, CDA/N₂ rough‑in, DI/RO systems, electrical distribution, fire protection/BMS)

Verify compliance with ISO cleanroom classifications, UBBL, MS Standards, and DOSH/JKKP requirements

QMS, Compliance & Site Coordination

Implement and maintain the project QMS; develop ITPs, QCPs, and inspection procedures

Review drawings, P&IDs, and hook‑up schematics from a quality standpoint before execution

Coordinate with PM, site engineers, subcontractors, clients, and third‑party inspection agencies on inspection hold points and approvals

Support Form G submission with quality records; support authority audits and inspections

Compile inspection dossiers, test certificates, and quality handover packages

Mentor junior QC engineers/inspectors and promote a safety‑first, compliant quality culture

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Quality Engineering, or related discipline

CIDB Construction Personnel Registration (min. Green Card) or CIDB Contractor Registration — required

BEM registration/PE or recognised QA/QC/inspection certification (e.g. CWI) — preferred

Minimum 5 years QA/QC experience, with hands‑on exposure to semiconductor tool hook‑up; cleanroom construction QA/QC experience an advantage

Strong knowledge of MS, UBBL, DOSH/JKKP, and relevant codes (e.g. ASME B31.3) for piping/welding inspection

Experience with third‑party inspection agencies, Form G, and authority approvals

Proficient in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia — Mandarin essential for China HQ communication

Willing to travel and be stationed long‑term at project sites across Malaysia

CIDB accreditation; hands‑on QA/QC inspection experience in semiconductor tool hook‑up

Ability to read/verify P&IDs, hook‑up schematics, and weld/test records

Strong NCR/CAR management and documentation discipline

Experience across both tool hook‑up and cleanroom construction QA/QC

Familiarity with high‑purity gas/chemical delivery systems

Prior experience at fabs such as Intel, Micron, Infineon, or equivalent
