MONORAIL GUIDEWAY ENGIEERING SDN BHD is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to implement and monitor project QA/QC plans, conduct site inspections and coordinate material testing across civil construction projects.

You will maintain test records, ensure compliance with drawings and specifications, and liaise with consultants, contractors and site engineers to resolve issues and drive quality on site.

QA/QC Engineer role involving implementation and monitoring of project QA/QC plans, site inspections, material testing coordination, and documentation of construction works across civil engineering projects.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the project QA/QC Plan and Inspection & Test Plan (ITP)
• Conduct site inspections and verify construction works against approved drawings and specifications
• Coordinate material inspection, sampling and laboratory testing
• Perform/assist with testing for soil, aggregate, concrete and other construction materials
• Monitor earthworks, piling, foundations, structures and other civil works
• Monitor testing activities such as compaction, concrete cube tests, soil tests and aggregate tests
• Ensure laboratory equipment is properly maintained, calibrated and recorded
• Identify non-conforming works/materials and issue NCR/Corrective Action Requests where required
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors and site engineers for inspection and approval
• Maintain proper QA/QC documentation and test records

About you

• Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 3 years' experience in QA/QC and construction laboratory testing
• Experience in solar PV/EPCC, infrastructure or civil construction is an advantage
• Knowledge of relevant EPCC project specifications
• Good documentation, reporting and coordination skills
