• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven QA/QC experience in construction (3–5 years).
• Knowledge of building codes, standards, and specifications.
• Ability to operate QC testing equipment and document results.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of construction work, materials, and installations to ensure compliance with plans and codes.
• Perform quality control tests on materials such as concrete and steel on site.
• Document all quality inspections, test results, and non-conformance issues.
• Identify defects or deviations and coordinate corrective actions with site teams.
• Maintain comprehensive quality records for project files and regulatory compliance.
• Liaise with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to resolve quality issues promptly.
• Conduct toolbox talks and training sessions to reinforce quality standards.
• Monitor safety protocols and environmental compliance during QC activities.
• Prepare QA/QC plans and checklists for new projects based on contract specs.

About the role

Boon Boon Builder Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated QA/QC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) professional to join our construction team. This is a full-time position based in Kuala Langat, Selangor. As a QA/QC specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of quality across all our construction projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that all work meets our rigorous quality specifications, industry standards, and contractual requirements. Key responsibilities

• Conducting regular inspections of construction work, materials, and installations to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and building codes
• Performing quality control tests on materials such as concrete, steel, and other construction components before and during use on site
• Documenting all quality inspections, test results, and non-conformance issues in detailed reports
• Identifying defects or deviations from specifications and coordinating corrective actions with site teams
• Maintaining comprehensive quality records and documentation for project files and regulatory compliance
• Liaising with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to resolve quality-related issues promptly
• Conducting toolbox talks and training sessions to reinforce quality standards and best practices with on-site personnel
• Monitoring safety protocols and environmental compliance during quality control activities
• Preparing quality assurance plans and checklists for new projects based on contract specifications
• Conducting final inspections and sign-offs to verify project completion meets all quality requirements

What we’re looking for

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control within the construction industry
• Sound knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction specifications relevant to Malaysia
• Proficiency in using quality control testing equipment and measurement tools
• Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and practices
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies and defects
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams
• Ability to prepare accurate technical reports and maintain detailed documentation
• Physical fitness and willingness to work on active construction sites in various weather conditions
• Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with QA/QC software (preferred)
• Relevant certifications such as ISO 9001 or construction quality control certifications are a plus
