M Summit 191 Sdn Bhd in Penang, George Town, is seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to lead project quality assurance and control across construction activities, materials, inspections, testing, and documentation.
You will develop QA/QC plans, manage NCRs, coordinate with engineers and subcontractors, and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and standards. Degree in civil engineering or related field, with 8–10 years of QA/QC experience in the construction industry, is required.
We are looking for an experienced QA/QC Manager to lead and manage project quality assurance and quality control activities, ensuring all construction works, materials, inspections, testing, and documentation comply with approved drawings, specifications, contractual requirements, and applicable standards.
Lead and manage the project QA/QC function and QA/QC team.
Develop and maintain Project Quality Plans, QA/QC procedures, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, and quality records.
Ensure construction works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and contract requirements.
Review method statements, inspection requirements, material submissions, and work sequences before site execution.
Oversee site inspections for structural, architectural, finishing, installation, and construction works.
Inspect and verify incoming materials, workmanship, completed works, and installations.
Coordinate and witness material testing, field testing, mock-ups, and other required quality inspections.
Ensure testing and inspection equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), quality observations, defects, corrective actions, and closure.
Conduct root-cause analysis for recurring defects and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Conduct and coordinate quality audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
Ensure QA/QC documentation, test reports, inspection records, registers, and material records are properly maintained and audit-ready.
Prepare weekly/monthly quality reports and update Management on NCR status, quality issues, corrective actions, and project quality performance.
Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Site Supervisors, Consultants, Contractors, and Subcontractors.
Conduct quality briefings, toolbox sessions, and quality awareness activities.
Coordinate defect rectification, quality close-out, inspection records, testing records, and handover documentation.
Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building, or related field.
Minimum 8–10 years of QA/QC experience in the construction industry.
Experience in high-rise, commercial, mixed development, or major building projects is preferred.
Previous experience leading or supervising a QA/QC team is preferred.
Strong knowledge of construction standards, specifications, quality procedures, inspection requirements, and material testing.
Able to read and interpret drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and site instructions.
Hands-on experience in site inspection, NCR management, corrective action, quality audits, and project handover documentation.
Strong knowledge of QA/QC documentation, reporting, record control, and quality registers.
Good leadership, communication, coordination, and decision-making skills.
Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving ability.
Able to manage multiple work packages and priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
