Job summary

Kiswel Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks a Quality Assurance Officer to strengthen the QA/QC efforts in our welding materials manufacturing facility.

You will perform inspections, review reports, analyze data, and drive corrective actions, while coordinating with Production and QA teams. We value strong communication, teamwork, and proficiency with MS Office; Bahasa Malaysia and English are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar QA/QA officer role.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to read drawings and quality procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out quality inspections in the factory using measuring instruments.
• Review QA and welding reports and ensure data accuracy.
• Collect and analyze quality data using statistical methods.
• Report quality issues daily to QA Manager.
• Coordinate QA/QC activities and support corrective actions.
• Provide training on quality improvement topics to the workforce.

Job description

Carry out quality inspections in the factory using measuring instruments such as micrometer,vernier calipers, microscope, titration, etc.

Review quality report and analysis report submitted by QA Inspector & Welding Engineer.

Collect and analyze quality data using statistical methods.

Report any quality issue on daily basis to QA Manager.

Perform chemical analysis and mechanical tests using equipment such as Spark OES, UniversalTensile Tester, Charpy Impact Tester, etc.

Non-conformity investigation, issue non-conformance report & follow-up for the corrective action implementation.

Work with Production Engineer in resolving quality issues & monitoring effectiveness of newly implemented corrective actions or programs.

Identify quality assurance process bottleneck and suggest actions for improvement.

Attend meetings & being the spokesman for QA Dept.

Quality Management System (QMS) team member & execute assigned roles & responsibilities.

Customer complaint investigations & writing analysis reports.

Coordinate QA/QC activities in the factory.

Provide briefing or training to the workforce on quality improvement topics.

Arrange for various product approval programs.

Good communication skills & a team player with good ability working with other people.

Computer literacy, familiar with Microsoft office such as Excel, Word & PowerPoint.

Conversant with both Bahasa Malaysia & English.

Experience or knowledge of quality control systems or principles will be an added advantage.

Good analytical skills, able to see problems & recommend sound solutions.

Ability to read & comply with departmental procedures, processes and work instructions.

Keen on continuous improvement

Physically fit, agile, and able to work in a manufacturing environment.

Possesses good eyesight with or without spectacles.

Effective visual, aural, oral, tactile & ambulatory abilities.

Medically fit without major health issues or chronic diseases.

Other requirements

Minimum bachelor's degree in an engineering field or a relevant.

A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
