Job summary

Prodelcon Sdn Bhd in Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to perform dimensional and visual inspections of precision machined components and verify conformity to drawings.

You will record results, identify non-conformities, and support quality improvement activities while following safety and work instructions.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, handling precision measuring tools, and willingness to work shifts and overtime.

Qualifications

• Reading and understanding basic engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments.
• Good attention to detail and quality awareness.

Responsibilities

• Conduct dimensional and visual inspections of precision machined components.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.
• Use measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, plug gauges and thread gauges.
• Verify product conformity against engineering drawings and inspection requirements.
• Record inspection results and maintain inspection records.
• Identify and segregate non-conforming products.
• Report quality issues to the QA Supervisor or Engineer.
• Ensure instruments are properly handled and maintained.
• Follow quality procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements.
• Support quality improvement activities as assigned.

• Use measuring instruments such as Vernier Callipers, Micrometres, Height Gauges, Plug Gauges, Thread Gauges, and other inspection equipment.


• Verify product conformity against engineering drawings and inspection requirements.


• Record inspection results and maintain inspection records.


• Identify and segregate non-conforming products.


• Report quality issues to the QA Supervisor or Engineer.


• Ensure measuring instruments are properly handled and maintained.


• Follow quality procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements.


• Support quality improvement activities as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum SPM, Certificate, or equivalent.


• Experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing or precision machining environment is an advantage.


• Able to read and understand basic engineering drawings.


• Familiar with precision measuring instruments.


• Good attention to detail and quality awareness.


• Willing to work shifts and overtime when required.
