Job summary

Celestica Inc. is seeking a QA Engineer in Penang, Malaysia, to ensure quality across our SCM applications. The role focuses on validating new features while supporting legacy Java migration to .NET, with guidance from senior QA leadership.

You will develop and execute manual and automated tests, participate in requirement analysis, and contribute to the automated testing framework. Daily collaboration with Malaysia/India teams, strong English communication, and autonomous ownership of testing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of QA/Testing experience in web applications.
• Experience validating complex business logic and data flows.

Responsibilities

• Design, write and execute manual and automated tests for new features.
• Test legacy Java features to ensure parity with rewritten .NET applications.
• Write test cases and automate critical paths using modern frameworks.
• Execute API tests to validate backend services and integrations.
• Perform SQL-based database testing and data validation (Oracle DB considered an asset).
• Manage defects end-to-end and collaborate with developers for root-cause analysis.
