Job summary

Esri Malaysia is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of software through manual and automated testing. You will develop and maintain test suites, validate end-to-end functionality, identify defects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve software quality.

A typical day includes designing and maintaining Playwright-based automation, building scalable frameworks, coordinating with developers and stakeholders, and producing test reports and release

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of experience as a QA Automation.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and regression testing.
• Strong knowledge of Playwright for web automation.
• Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and maintainable automation code.
• Experience designing and maintaining automated testing frameworks and reusable components.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Git, or Jira.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts and suites using Playwright as the primary framework.
• Create scalable automation frameworks for web applications with reusable components and reporting structures.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to define test strategies and ensure coverage.
• Prepare test documentation, reports, and quality metrics for release readiness.
