Job summary

Cognizant Malaysia is seeking an automation engineer to design, develop and maintain scalable automation frameworks and test suites. You will create and execute automated test scripts for functional and regression testing and integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines.

The role requires 2+ years of hands-on experience with Playwright and Typescript, API testing tools, and strong collaboration with testers, analysts and developers to drive quality and release readiness.

Qualifications

2+ years of hands-on automation using Playwright and Typescript.
Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI or Karate.
Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new testing methodologies.
Knowledge of Swagger REST API.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain scalable automation frameworks and test suites.
Create and execute automated test scripts for functional and regression testing.
Improve automation coverage and reduce manual testing effort.
Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines.
Analyze application changes and update automation assets accordingly.
Work closely with testers, analysts and developers to understand requirements.
Support release validation and production readiness activities.
Contribute to automation best practices and framework enhancements.
