Job summary

OneJar is seeking a Backend Developer (Python) to join a leading financial services client in Malaysia. You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to implement features and new products, write technical specs, and ensure code quality through unit and integration tests.

The role requires a BSc in CS and at least 3 years of Python development experience, with SQL/NoSQL proficiency, and familiarity with microservices, containers, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• BSc in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of software development experience with Python.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with microservices and containerized applications.
• Knowledge of web security best practices and SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members to develop features and new products.
• Define and write technical specs and coding standards.
• Demonstrate implementations to leadership and stakeholders.
• Implement unit and integration tests.
