Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking a skilled Software Engineer with strong Python experience to design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems. You will optimize existing services, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to production deployments.

Requirements include a BS/BA in CS or related field with CGPA 3.5+, 3+ years of Python development, and experience with Django, FastAPI, or Flask. Knowledge of PostgreSQL/MySQL and Docker is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field with a CGPA of 3.5+
• 3+ years of hands-on Python software development experience
• Experience building/Deploying production-grade backend systems or web apps (Django, FastAPI, or Flask)
• Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORMs (SQLAlchemy)
• RESTful APIs or GraphQL design/consumption
• Git, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker)

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain end-to-end Python applications and APIs.
• Write clean, readable, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize query speeds and service performance.
• Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and DevOps to ship features to production.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
