The Procurement Executive is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities for construction materials, M&E items, equipment, subcontractor works, and services. The role ensures timely delivery, cost efficiency, compliance, and strong coordination across project teams and suppliers.
Key responsibilities
- Manage procurement of materials, equipment, subcontractor works, and services according to project requirements and schedules
- Plan and track procurement activities, including long-lead and critical items, to ensure timely delivery
- Review requisitions, quotations, and Purchase Orders for accuracy, competitiveness, and compliance
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend suppliers and subcontractors based on price, quality, capability, and reliability
- Lead negotiations on pricing, payment terms, delivery timelines, and commercial conditions
- Support tender and quotation exercises, including coordination of drawings, specifications, and material requirements
- Coordinate with project, Site, QS, Contracts, Engineering, and other teams on procurement needs and delivery schedules
- Monitor supplier and subcontractor performance and resolve issues related to cost, quality, delivery, or availability
- Track procurement cost against budgets and identify cost-saving or value-engineering opportunities
- Ensure procurement activities comply with SOPs, ISO standards, project specification, and regulatory requirements
About you
- Minimum Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Construction Management, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of purchasing/procurement experience, preferably in the construction industry, engineering, building materials, or project-based environments
- Hands-on experience managing purchase requisitions, purchase orders, quotation comparisons, supplier evaluation, negotiation, and delivery coordination
- Familiarity with construction materials, equipment, subcontracted services, drawings, and project specifications is an advantage
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with a high level of integrity
- Able to work independently and manage procurement activities efficiently
