Job summary

Four Seasons Langkawi is seeking a Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement operations and drive cost-effective purchasing strategies. The role will leverage local market knowledge to optimize supplier contracts and inventory control.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of experience in a similar capacity, a Diploma or equivalent, and proven leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Qualifications

• With firm knowledge of the local market and speak Bahasa Malaysia as well as being fluent in English.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory control, and cost management.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
• 3 - 5 years of experience in the similar capacity.
• Minimum Diploma in equivalent discipline.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Purchasing to supervise and motivating Purchasing team.
• Recommend and implement purchasing concepts that providing cost effective through contract, quantity discount and pre-price increase purchasing.
• Supervise, receiving, documenting, storage, issue procedures as outlined in the policies and procedures manuals, ensuring product pricing, rotation and inventory levels as well as storage area sanitation.
• Control purchase of all merchandise through effective purchase order system including competitive bids.
• Maintain security storage areas through controlled issue hours, requisition and key control.
• Conduct quality control audits to ensure staff is properly trained and following established procedures.
