Four Seasons Langkawi Resort in Langkawi, Kedah, Malaysia, seeks an Assistant Spa Manager to support the Director of Spa in daily operations, guest experiences, and service standards.

You will oversee treatment rooms, supervise staff, assist during peaks, and help onboard new team members, while maintaining calm, luxurious ambiance and delivering personalized wellness for discerning international guests.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in Spa Management, Hospitality, or Wellness preferred.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in a luxury spa, five‑star hotel, or premium resort; supervisory or assistant management experience is desirable.
• Strong understanding of luxury service standards, guest engagement, and personalized wellness for international hotel brands.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills for interacting with discerning, high‑profile, international guests.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the spa environment remains serene, inviting, and well‑maintained with appropriate ambience and presentation.
• Oversee cleanliness, organization, and readiness of treatment rooms, facilities, and equipment; ensure supplies are stocked.
• Assist during peak periods or events by providing operational and hands‑on support.
• Assist onboarding and training of new team members on service standards and spa procedures.
• Monitor daily operations, treatment revenue, and occupancy levels.

About the role

The Assistant Spa Manager supports the Director of Spa in overseeing daily spa operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and professionalism. This role combines hands‑on operational support with leadership, guest engagement, and administrative responsibilities.

What you will do

• Ensure the spa environment remains serene, inviting, and well‑maintained, including ambient lighting, music, temperature, and overall presentation.
• Oversee the cleanliness, organization, and readiness of treatment rooms, facilities, and equipment, ensuring supplies are adequately stocked at all times.
• Assist during peak periods, special events, or staff shortages by providing operational and hands‑on support when required.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new team members on service standards, protocols, and spa procedures.
• Assist in monitoring daily operations reports, treatment revenue, and occupancy levels.

What you bring

• Diploma or certification in Spa Management, Hospitality, or Wellness preferred.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in a luxury spa, five‑star hotel, or premium resort environment; prior experience in a supervisory or assistant management role is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of luxury service standards, guest engagement, and personalized wellness experiences consistent with international hotel brands.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to interact confidently with discerning, high‑profile, and international guests.
