Job summary

Four Seasons Resort Langkawi is seeking a Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement operations and drive cost-effective purchasing strategies in a luxury hospitality setting. You will lead the Purchasing team, ensure inventory control, and uphold vendor relationships while maintaining the highest standards of service.

Qualifications

• Diploma required or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in procurement/supply chain.
• Experience in hospitality procurement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Purchasing to supervise and motivate the purchasing team.
• Implement cost-efficient purchasing strategies through contracts and supplier negotiations.
• Oversee receiving, storage, and inventory controls to ensure pricing integrity and stock accuracy.
• Manage competitive bids and purchase orders to secure favorable terms.
• Maintain secure, organized storage areas and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

About the role

Four Seasons Resort Langkawi is seeking a Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement operations and drive cost-effective purchasing strategies. Candidates with hospitality experience, strong leadership capabilities, and a commitment to excellence are encouraged to apply.

What you will do

• Assist the Director of Purchasing to supervise and motivating Purchasing team.


• Recommend and implement purchasing concepts that providing cost effective through contract, quantity discount and pre-price increase purchasing.


• Supervise, receiving, documenting, storage, issue procedures as outlined in the policies and procedures manuals, ensuring product pricing, rotation and inventory levels as well as storage area sanitation.


• Control purchase of all merchandise through effective purchase order system including competitive bids.


• Maintain security storage areas through controlled issue hours, requisition and key control.


• Conduct quality control audits to ensure staff is properly trained and following established procedures.

What you bring

• With firm knowledge of the local market and speak Bahasa Malaysia as well as being fluent in English.


• Proven leadership and team management skills.


• Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory control, and cost management.


• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.


• 3 - 5 years of experience in the similar capacity.


• Minimum Diploma in equivalent discipline.
