Job summary

NIDEC INSTRUMENTS CORPORATION is seeking a procurement professional in Klang to manage daily material schedules, control inventory, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure uninterrupted production. The role requires 2–5 years of purchasing experience in manufacturing and strong negotiation and communication skills.

You will issue POs, track shortages, and maintain purchasing records while supporting audits and continuous improvements within the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in business administration, supply chain, purchasing, logistics or related field.
• 2–5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of APQP, ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently with cross-functional teams.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and update daily incoming material schedules.
• Review and control part inventory status to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Coordinate delivery schedules with suppliers to meet production requirements.
• Issue and manage purchase orders (POs) and obtain approvals.
• Track material shortages and take corrective actions to prevent supply disruptions.
• Update and maintain purchasing records, reports and planning data.
• Coordinate supplier audits and follow-up improvement actions.
• Update production and purchasing planning reports (PSI, AISA, NPPC, etc.).
• Participate in APQP meetings and cross-functional discussions with QA/QC, Engineering and Production teams.
• Support warehouse operations related to material labeling and inventory control.
• Support ISO, IATF, customer, and supplier audit activities.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures.
• Prepare monthly and annual purchasing reports.
• Update annual supplier development plans and procurement KPIs.
