Job summary

Glife Technologies Pte Ltd in Johor Bahru is seeking a dedicated Purchasing professional to define supplier strategies, source new products, and negotiate terms to support profit objectives. You will drive supplier performance and help shape purchasing decisions across the organization.

In this role, you will establish and implement purchasing policies, oversee the department's daily operations, and collaborate with other departments to ensure inventory alignment and timely procurement.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in business, procurement, supply chain, logistics, or related field.
• At least 1 year purchasing experience in F&B industry.
• Working experience of relevant software.

Responsibilities

• Define supplier strategies and negotiate credit terms.
• Conduct sourcing and evaluation of new products local and overseas.
• Introduce performance improvements for suppliers.
• Develop and manage purchasing variances to meet profit objectives.
• Monitor and reduce purchase variances and improve purchasing processes.
• Establish and implement purchasing policies, procedures and best practices.
• Oversee daily purchasing department activities and staff performance.
• Manage supplier selection and develop strategic relationships.
• Review purchase orders for proper authorization and compliance.
• Coordinate with other departments to meet inventory requirements.

Responsibilities

What you need to do:

Strategic Roles

• Define supplier strategies, manage supplier and negotiate credit terms
• Conduct sourcing and evaluation of new products local and overseas
• Introduce performance improvement measures for suppliers and vendors

• Monitor and reduce purchase variances
• Direct continuous improvement of purchasing processes

Managing Roles

• Establish and implement purchasing policies, procedures and best practices
• Maintain ongoing compliance with purchasing policies and procedures
• Oversee operations and daily activities of purchasing department
• Manage performance, develop and motivate purchasing staff
• Manage reporting of purchasing data, analysis and related projections

Purchasing Roles

• Identify and source new suppliers
• Manage supplier selection process
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers
• Establish and update an approved supplier database
• Measure and manage the supplier cost, quality and delivery performance
