Job summary

Boon Siew Honda Sdn Bhd in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Procurement/Costing Engineer with at least 2 years in the field. You will drive parts costing strategies, review supplier quotes, and perform cost analyses and VAVE for new model parts.

You will also localize suppliers, monitor exchange-rate impacts, and negotiate targets with vendors. The role requires 2+ years in procurement/costing, the ability to read 2D drawings, and strong English/Bahasa Malaysia skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chains, or related field.
• Able to read and understand engineering/technical 2D drawings.
• Experience as Procurement/Purchasing/Sourcing/Costing Engineer or Technical Buyer (min 2 years).
• Automotive industry experience is a plus.
• Holder of a valid driving license and able to travel as required.
• Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

• Source & develop local suppliers as part of localization activities.
• Reflect & update latest cost based on exchange rate fluctuations and trend analysis.
• Negotiate with suppliers to meet reasonable parts cost targets.
