Job summary

Alfa Laval Mid Europe GmbH in Malaysia is seeking an Accounts Payable professional to join our finance team. You will handle invoices, ensure accuracy, and uphold timely payment workflows in a SSC/BPO environment.

The role emphasizes strong analytical skills, English communication, and proficiency with MS Excel; knowledge of iScala is a plus. We value initiative, accuracy, and continuous improvement in PtP processes.

Qualifications

• Preferable degree in Finance/Accounting or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable in SSC/BPO.
• Strong analytical and numeric skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in English communication, both written and spoken.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming invoices in accurate and timely manner
• Process the approved invoices according to agreed procedures and standards
• Resolve independently the majority of Purchase Order-related queries
• Pro-actively reach out to local finance representatives regarding the unapproved invoices
• Perform supplier payments according to payment calendar
• Resolve PtP-related queries received from local finance or the suppliers
• Prepare independently periodical accounts’ reconciliations
• Provide documentation support for audit purposes
• Prepare required monthly reports
• Assist with month end closing activities
• Ensure 100% data accuracy in all applied system
• Suggest potential areas for further development or improvement across PtP function

About The Job

What You Know

• Preferable degree in Finance/Accounting or other related fields
• At least 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable area in SSC/BPO
• Practical knowledge of accounting processes and rules
• Strong Analytical skills include identifying, forecasting and resolving problems
• Have excellent communication and numeric skills with good attention to detail
• Proficient in English communication (both verbally and in writing)
• Have the ability to adapt when, due to business demands, deadlines and priorities change
• Practical knowledge of MS Office tools, especially Excel
• iScala knowledge is a plus
