Jora Malaysia is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations on the wafer and confectionery lines, ensuring targets, quality, and safety compliance. You will lead operators, manage changeovers, and monitor KPIs in a fast-paced environment.
The role requires 3+ years of manufacturing experience with leadership exposure, knowledge of GMP/HACCP, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. Shift work and holidays may be required.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily production operations on the assigned production line (Wafer, Choco Mucho/Kit Kat-style coated confectionery, or Ice Cream Coating). This role ensures production targets, product quality, food safety, and operational efficiency are achieved while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Supervise and coordinate operators on the assigned production line throughout each shift.
Monitor production output, line speed, and quality checkpoints in real time; escalation issues to the Production Manager promptly.
Conduct pre-shift briefings: communicate daily targets, product changeovers, safety alerts, and any special instructions.
Ensure correct setup of machinery (wafer ovens / enrobers / chocolate tempering / ice cream coating tanks) before production begins.
Enforce GMP, hygiene, and food safety practices among all line personnel at all times.
Monitor raw material usage and intermediate product quality; record weight checks, temperature logs, and batch records accurately.
Identify and report equipment faults, near-misses, and quality deviations immediately; assist in root cause analysis.
Train and guide new operators on SOPs, safety procedures, and quality standards.
Manage shift handover - ensure clear communication of pending issues, production status, and line condition to next shift supervisor.
Participate in 5S activities and housekeeping routines to maintain a clean and organised production floor.
Complete shift production reports, downtime logs, and waste records accurately.
Assist in stock takes, line trials, and product changeovers as directed.
Diploma or Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory position.
Experience in confectionery, chocolate, wafer, bakery, snack food, or food manufacturing is preferred.
Good knowledge of GMP, HACCP, Halal, and food safety management systems.
Basic understanding of production KPIs such as OEE, yield, downtime, productivity, and waste control.
Good leadership, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic ERP/MES systems.
Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when operationally required.
Able to respond promptly to production emergencies and urgent operational issues.
