Job summary

Mayland Group of Company in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced Contract Manager to oversee contractual matters for our property development projects. You will draft, review and negotiate contracts with contractors and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with policies and regulatory requirements.

You will manage RFV and tender processes, work with project teams to align contracts with budgets and timelines, analyze costs and prepare estimates, monitor final accounts, and optimize terms for cost

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 5–8 years of contract management experience in property development or construction.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes and real estate regulations.
• Knowledgeable in feasibility studies and cost estimation.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate contractual matters to support property development projects.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts with contractors and stakeholders per policy and regulations.
• Manage RFV process and ensure approvals align with project requirements.
• Lead tender award process: evaluation, negotiation and finalization.
• Coordinate with project managers, procurement and finance to align contracts with budgets and timelines.
• Analyze project costs and assist teams with accurate cost estimates and budgets.
• Monitor cost updates, final accounts and cost reconciliation for budget alignment.
• Optimize contract terms to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
• Review and verify contractual claims from contractors, suppliers and consultants.
• Handle contract-related disputes, variations and claims efficiently.
• Identify contractual risks and propose mitigations to minimize exposure.
• Keep up to date with laws, regulations and industry standards to ensure compliance.
• Maintain documentation of all contract-related issues.
• Perform ad hoc tasks as delegated.
