Sena Traffic Systems Sdn Bhd is seeking a Project Supervisor to oversee and coordinate daily site activities for building, renovation, M&E, ELV, system and network projects in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Responsible for safety, quality and timely completion, you will lead workers, subcontractors and engineers on-site.

Sena Traffic Systems Sdn Bhd is seeking a Project Supervisor to oversee and coordinate daily site activities for our building, renovation, M&E, ELV, system and network projects in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
The Project Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that site activities are carried out safely, efficiently and according to approved drawings, project specifications and the agreed project schedule. This role requires a hands‑on individual who can effectively coordinate workers, subcontractors, suppliers and project engineers while monitoring work quality, manpower, materials and site progress.
The ideal candidate is a practical and responsible team leader who is comfortable working on‑site, able to identify issues quickly and capable of ensuring that work is completed according to the required standards and timeline.
Supervise and monitor daily site activities for building, renovation, M&E, ELV, system and network works.
Coordinate daily work activities and assign tasks to workers, technicians, subcontractors and trade crews.
Ensure site activities are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, work instructions and project schedules.
Monitor workmanship and ensure completed works meet the required quality standards.
Identify site issues, delays or technical problems and elevate them to the Project Engineer or the Project Manager for appropriate action.
Conduct regular site inspections and ensure work areas are properly organized and maintained.
Coordinate and supervise workers, technicians, subcontractors and other site personnel.
Plan and allocate manpower according to daily work requirements and project priorities.
Monitor workers' attendance, deployment and productivity.
Coordinate with subcontractors and trade teams to ensure activities are carried out in the correct sequence and without unnecessary delays.
Provide clear instructions to site personnel and ensure they understand their assigned tasks.
Work closely with Project Engineers, Coordinators and Project Managers to ensure smooth project execution.
Ensure all site activities comply with applicable health, safety and environmental requirements.
Enforce site safety rules, procedures and work practices among workers and subcontractors.
Identify potential site hazards and take appropriate corrective or preventive actions.
Conduct or participate in daily toolbox meetings and safety briefings where required.
Ensure workers use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Report accidents, incidents, unsafe conditions and safety concerns to the relevant project personnel immediately.
Support the project team in maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.
Monitor the availability and usage of construction materials, equipment, tools and other site resources.
Coordinate material deliveries with suppliers and subcontractors according to site requirements and work schedules.
Check delivered materials against the required specifications and quantities where applicable.
Monitor proper storage and handling of materials and equipment at site.
Minimise material wastage, damage and unnecessary resource usage.
Inform the Project Engineer or Project Manager of material shortages, delivery delays or equipment requirements.
Monitor ongoing works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
Conduct routine checks on workmanship and completed works.
Identify defects, incomplete works or non‑compliance and coordinate rectification with the relevant workers or subcontractors.
Assist project engineers and managers during inspections, testing and commissioning activities.
Ensure rectification works are completed within the required timeframe.
Monitor daily site progress against the project schedule and planned activities.
Maintain accurate daily site records, manpower attendance, work progress and site activities.
Prepare daily or periodic site progress reports for submission to the Project Engineer or Project Manager.
Highlight delays, site constraints, manpower issues, material shortages and other matters that may affect project completion.
Take progress record and maintain appropriate site documentation when required.
Assist the project team in tracking project milestones and completion targets.
Read and interpret architectural drawings, engineering drawings, blueprints, layouts and project specifications.
Ensure site works are carried out according to the latest approved drawings and instructions.
Coordinate with Project Engineers and relevant technical personnel regarding site requirements and technical issues.
Assist in identifying discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions.
Ensure any changes or instructions received are properly communicated to the relevant site personnel.
Assist the project team in coordinating final works, inspections, testing and commissioning.
Monitor outstanding works and defects and ensure timely rectification.
Assist in preparing the site for client inspection and project handover.
Ensure site areas are properly cleaned, organised and ready for handover.
Support the Project Engineer and Project Manager in completing project documentation and handover requirements.
Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical & Electrical (M&E), Electrical Engineering, ELV, System Engineering, Network Engineering, Construction Management or a related technical field.
Relevant technical qualifications with substantial site experience will also be considered.
Minimum 3–5 years of hands‑on site experience in construction, renovation, M&E, ELV, system, network or related engineering projects.
Proven experience in supervising workers, technicians, subcontractors or trade crews.
Experience in coordinating daily site activities and monitoring project progress will be an advantage.
Good understanding of construction and site operations.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, architectural drawings, blueprints and project specifications.
Basic understanding of building, M&E, ELV, system or network installation works.
Familiarity with construction methods, site practices and quality requirements.
Basic computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office applications, for preparing site records and progress reports.
Possess a valid CIDB Construction Personnel Registration Card (Green Card).
Possess a valid driving licence.
Willing to travel to and work at project sites as required.
Willing to work in a site‑based environment and accommodate project requirements when necessary.
Strong site supervision and team leadership skills.
Good organisational and time management abilities.
Strong attention to detail, particularly in monitoring workmanship and site progress.
Good problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
Clear verbal communication and ability to give instructions effectively.
Able to coordinate and work effectively with workers, subcontractors, suppliers and project teams.
Proactive, responsible and able to work with minimum supervision.
Able to manage multiple site activities and priorities effectively.
Strong commitment to safety, quality and timely project delivery.
