Job summary

Sunray Construction & Interior Sdn Bhd invites interns to join our Johor Bahru project sites. You will be assigned to a senior and a team to learn the day-to-day activities on a real construction project site, gaining practical insight into planning, coordination, and on-site discipline.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings and specifications, monitoring progress, managing materials and costs, maintaining records, and assisting in progress reports.

• Review construction drawings, specs and technical documents, and provide guidance to site teams.
• Monitor progress and escalate delays to the Project Manager.
• Track material usage, labour efficiency, and project costs.
• Maintain detailed site records and assist in creating progress reports.
• Prepare and update project forecast schedules using actual site data.
• Coordinate with architects, project managers and construction teams to ensure deliverables.
• Attend meetings with consultants, contractors and suppliers to address issues.
• Support safety procedures and participate in site safety inspections.
• Provide guidance to junior team members to foster their development.

Looking for interns in Johor Bahru for Project / Site position. You will be assigned to a senior and team to learn the day-to-day job activities in a real construction project site. A rough idea of a Project Coordinator's primary responsibilities as below.

• Manage daily site activities and conduct site inspection to ensure smooth and timely execution, and ensure compliance to quality standards and specifications.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical documents, and provide technical guidance and clarification to site teams and contractors.
• Monitor progress and performance and escalate any delay or deviation to Project Manager for resolution.
• Monitor and control material usage, labour efficiency, and project costs.
• Maintain detailed records of all site activities, and assist in preparation of site reports, progress reports and technical documentation.
• Prepare and update project forecast schedules using actual site data and provide regular internal and external progress reports to management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, project managers and construction team, to coordinate project deliverables and timely problem solving
• Coordinate and attend meetings with consultants, contractors and suppliers to ensure technical compliance and address any issues arise during project.
• Support implementation of safety procedures and participate in site safety inspections.
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering their professional development.
