Job summary

Pembinaan Kekal Mewah Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead highway and road construction projects from start to handover. You will ensure delivery safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with contract requirements, drawings, specifications and company policies.

The role requires strong leadership, risk management and coordination across engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and authorities to achieve programme targets and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Professional registration/certification relevant to the position is an advantage.
• Minimum 10 years' relevant experience in highway, road or infrastructure construction.
• Proven experience managing major road/highway projects from commencement through completion.
• Experience managing subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, manpower, plant and materials.
• Experience in project programme, cost, quality and contractual control.
• Strong knowledge of road construction, including earthworks, drainage, bridges and surveying.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Project planning and problem-solving ability.

Position Summary
Responsible for the overall planning, management, coordination, execution and successful delivery of highway and road construction projects from commencement to completion and handover. The Project Manager ensures that projects are delivered safely, within approved programme and budget, and in compliance with contract requirements, drawings, specifications, statutory requirements and Company policies.

Proposed Requirements

Earthworks and embankment

Subgrade, sub-base and road base

Drainage and culverts

Bridges and ancillary works

Surveying and setting-out

Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and method statements.

Knowledge of construction planning, scheduling and progress monitoring.

Understanding of quality, safety, environmental and statutory requirements. The source specifically identifies road alignment, pavement structure, earthworks, drainage and relevant standards as part of the role.
