We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to lead and oversee the execution of the Road and Bridge Infratructure Project at Kuala Sanglang, Perlis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of project delivery, including project planning, engineering coordination, construction management, stakeholder engagement, contract administration, and overall project performance to ensure completion within budget, schedule, quality, and safety requirements.
This position is offered on a project-based contractual basis and will be tied to the duration of the project at Kuala Sanglang, Perlis. The project is currently scheduled for completion around 2030. Opportunities for contract extension or future project assignments may be considered based on business requirements and individual performance.
Lead and oversee the execution of the Road and Bridge Construction Project at Kuala Sanglang, Perlis, ensuring successful delivery from commencement to completion.
Plan, manage, and monitor project schedules, budgets, resources, procurement activities, and overall project performance.
Coordinate and manage consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams to ensure effective project implementation.
Oversee engineering, construction, and site activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
Identify project risks, technical challenges, and potential delays, and implement appropriate mitigation and corrective actions.
Administer project contracts, including Variation Orders (VO), claims, Extension of Time (EOT), and other contractual matters.
Liaise with clients, government authorities, utility providers, consultants, and other stakeholders to facilitate project execution and secure necessary approvals.
Ensure successful project delivery and close-out by achieving approved cost, quality, safety, and timeline objectives while fulfilling all contractual obligations and deliverables.
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Professional Engineer (PE) registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) is highly preferred.
Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in construction, infrastructure, road upgrading, highway, or civil engineering projects.
At least 5 years of experience in a Project Manager or equivalent leadership role.
Experience managing roadworks, highway, infrastructure, or government-related projects will be an added advantage.
Familiar with Malaysian construction regulations, contract conditions, and statutory requirements.
Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficient in project planning and reporting tools such as Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office.
Able to manage multiple stakeholders and work under tight project deadlines.
Willing to be based on-site at Perlis.
