Job summary

Jora Malaysia in Selangor is seeking an experienced OHL Project Engineer to lead end-to-end overhead line projects, ensuring safety, quality, and on-schedule delivery. You will coordinate with TNB, consultants, and contractors, manage resources, and drive milestones with a focus on efficient site operations.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical or Civil Engineering, with 5+ years in OHL/Transmission Line projects and direct experience with TNB standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in Overhead Line (OHL) or Transmission Line projects.
• Direct experience in TNB transmission line development projects.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full cycle of OHL project execution from planning, implementation, monitoring, and completion.
• Drive project progress, site performance, manpower productivity, and ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Coordinate with TNB, consultants, contractors, landowners, and authorities during project execution.
• Monitor construction activities including foundation works, tower erection, stringing, testing & commissioning.
• Identify project risks, resolve site issues, and implement corrective actions to prevent delays.
• Ensure compliance with TNB requirements, safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
• Manage project schedules, resources, subcontractors, materials, and equipment.
• Prepare and review project reports, progress updates, claims, and documentation.
• Attend project meetings and provide updates to management on performance and challenges.
• Lead project teams to achieve objectives safely, efficiently, and within budget.

• Ensure compliance with TNB requirements, safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
• Manage project schedules, resources, subcontractors, materials, and equipment effectively.
• Prepare and review project reports, progress updates, claims, and project documentation.
• Attend project meetings and provide regular updates to management on project performance and challenges.
• Lead project teams to achieve project objectives safely, efficiently, and within budget.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by management from time to time.

Job Requirements :

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related engineering field.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in Overhead Line (OHL) or Transmission Line projects.
• Direct experience in TNB transmission line development projects is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of OHL construction activities including foundation works, tower erection, stringing, and testing & commissioning.
• Proven experience in managing project teams, subcontractors, and site operations.
• Familiar with TNB transmission standards, authority requirements, and project documentation.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Highly motivated, result-oriented, and capable of driving project performance.
• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple project activities simultaneously.
• Able to start work immediately or within a short notice period
