Job summary

Advanced Electronic Materials (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Operations Manager to lead and coordinate M&E construction activities for large-scale industrial projects in the Penang / Kulim region. You will oversee project delivery, site operations, engineering coordination, manpower planning, subcontractor management, progress, quality and client coordination.

The role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Building Services/Construction Management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Construction Management or related disciplines.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant M&E construction or project management experience.
• Experience in semiconductor plants, manufacturing facilities, cleanrooms, data centres or high-tech industrial projects will be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall project execution and day-to-day site operations.
• Manage project schedule, manpower, subcontractors, materials and resources.
• Coordinate M&E construction and engineering activities.
• Monitor project progress, quality, safety, cost and delivery performance.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and internal engineering teams.
• Lead project meetings and resolve technical, construction and coordination issues.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure works are completed according to project requirements.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, inspection and project handover activities.
• Prepare project progress reports and provide regular updates to management.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and according to agreed schedules and specifications.

About you

Previous experience managing industrial or large-scale engineering projects is strongly preferred.

Experience in semiconductor plants, manufacturing facilities, cleanrooms, data centres or high-tech industrial projects will be highly advantageous.

Strong knowledge of M&E construction, project coordination and site operations.

Strong leadership, planning, communication and problem-solving skills.

Able to manage subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams.

Good command of English.

Mandarin communication skills will be an added advantage.

Willing to be based in the Penang / Kulim project area.
