Job summary

Woh Hup Group is seeking a qualified Mechanical & Electrical Engineer to oversee M&E works on large Data Centre projects. You will coordinate with consultants and subcontractors, ensure on-site installation, testing, and commissioning meet project specs, quality standards, and timelines.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 3–5 years of M&E experience, preferably with main contractors.

Qualifications

• Experience in Data Centre or mission-critical projects is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of M&E systems, codes, and standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all M&E works on site including HV/LV, UPS, generators.
• Review drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and method statements for compliance.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and project teams to resolve issues.
• Monitor progress, quality, and safety to meet project requirements.
• Attend site meetings and provide progress/technical reports.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, and handover of M&E systems.
• Ensure compliance with authorities and industry standards.
• Assist in value engineering, material submissions, and procurement support.

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Engineer to support the delivery of large-scale Data Centre projects. The role involves overseeing M&E works on site, coordinating with consultants and subcontractors, and ensuring all systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all M&E works on site, including HV/LV systems, UPS, generators, chillers, CRAH/CRAC, BMS, fire protection, and ELV systems.
• Review M&E drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and method statements for compliance.
• Liaise closely with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and internal project teams to resolve technical issues.
• Monitor progress, quality, and safety of M&E works to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Attend site meetings and provide regular progress and technical reports.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, and handover of M&E systems.
• Ensure all works comply with statutory requirements, local authority approvals, and industry standards.
• Assist in value engineering, material submissions, and procurement support when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant M&E experience, preferably with main contractors.
• Prior experience in Data Centre, mission-critical, industrial, or high-tech projects is highly advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of M&E systems, codes, and standards.
• Good coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks on site.
• Willing to be site-based in Selangor
