Job summary

GRIT in Singapore seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the APAC data centre team. You will support design reviews, project delivery, and coordination with external design teams across existing and future data centre projects.

You will work closely with the Project Manager on design, construction, commissioning and handover activities, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, performance specs, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of building services design and construction project delivery experience.
• Uptime / TIA certification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager / Site Delivery Manager throughout the data centre design and construction phases
• Monitor construction activities and ensure projects are delivered in line with engineering standards
• Review and approve design consultant documentation, including engineering calculations
• Manage external design consultants and ensure project deliverables are completed to the required standards and timelines
• Maintain and implement internal engineering standards
• Support commissioning and final project handover
• Contribute to internal engineering design and development initiatives
• Establish engineering and operational procedures in line with company standards

Our client, a growing data centre and engineering organisation, is expanding its APAC technical and project delivery team and is looking to hire an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their Singapore team.

This role will support external design team management, design reviews, and project delivery across existing and future APAC data centre projects. You will work closely with the Singapore-based Project Manager on design, construction, commissioning, and handover activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager / Site Delivery Manager throughout the data centre design and construction phases
• Monitor construction activities and ensure projects are delivered in line with engineering standards
• Review and approve design consultant documentation, including engineering calculations

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in building services design and construction project delivery
• Prior data centre experience is preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
• Uptime / TIA certification is advantageous
• Strong knowledge of HV/LV electrical distribution
• Good understanding of data centre electrical systems and protection studies
• Proficient in MS Office
• Experience with engineering / design software, including IES
• Strong command of English, both written and verbal
• Chinese and/or Bahasa Indonesia/Malaysia language skills would be advantageous
• Self-motivated, conscientious, flexible, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
