Job summary

STERLING GENERATORS MALAYSIA SDN BHD is seeking an experienced project manager to lead the full lifecycle of data centre projects from initiation through handover. You will develop plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring delivery within scope, time, cost, and quality, while overseeing engineering, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle management of data centre projects from initiation to final handover.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, milestones, and budgets.
• Ensure project delivery within scope, time, cost, and quality parameters.
• Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions when required.
• Oversee engineering, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients.
• Manage formal communications, reporting, and documentation.
• Conduct regular progress meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders.
• Address client concerns, change requests, and contractual matters professionally.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, OEM vendors, and internal teams.
• Plan and allocate manpower, materials, and technical resources effectively.
• Ensure alignment between engineering, site teams, and commissioning teams.
• Manage subcontractors and ensure performance compliance.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with data centre standards, local regulations, and HSE requirements.
• Maintain high-quality documentation, reporting, and audit readiness.
• Oversee commissioning activities and final client acceptance processes.
• Monitor project costs, variations, and claims.
• Review and manage contracts, payment milestones, and invoicing.
• Ensure profitability and financial control throughout the project lifecycle.
