VoltEdge Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee day-to-day electrical project delivery and lead site execution across data centre projects. You will coordinate subcontractors and clients, conduct technical meetings, and resolve on-site issues to ensure timely, safe, and quality project outcomes.

The role offers ownership of complex data centre projects and an opportunity to advance technical and leadership capabilities in a fast-paced environment.

You will oversee day-to-day electrical project delivery, lead site execution, coordinate subcontractors and clients, conduct technical meetings, and resolve site issues to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.

This role offers an opportunity to take ownership of complex data centre projects while advancing your technical and leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution: Manage project vendors and schedules, site activities, manpower allocation and material deliveries to ensure work progresses according to agreed milestones.

Electrical Works & Technical Coordination: Oversee electrical installations, including but not limited to MV and LV systems and related works, equipment, busduct, cabling and cable containment, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and specifications.

Subcontractor & Site Management: Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams, monitor workmanship and productivity, and resolve site issues to avoid delays.

Engineering & Documentation: Review electrical drawings, method statements, technical submissions, RFIs, WIRs, and coordinate design clarifications with clients, consultants and relevant stakeholders.

Testing, Commissioning & Handover: Coordinate inspections, system testing, defect rectification and commissioning activities, ensuring timely completion of handover documents (including O&M manuals & training etc) and project close-out.

Project Monitoring & Reporting: Track project progress, risks, variations and potential cost or schedule impacts, and prepare daily progress updates and reports and implement appropriate corrective actions.

Safety & Quality Compliance: Ensure site activities comply with project specifications, required documentation and procedures (i.e. PTW & SPA etc.), quality standards, approved procedures and applicable safety requirements.

Client & Stakeholder Coordination: Attend project meetings, provide progress updates, follow up on outstanding issues and maintain effective communication to support successful project delivery.

Requirements & Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

Typically 5–10 years of experience in electrical construction, M&E, or data centre projects.

Strong knowledge of electrical installations, site coordination, and subcontractor management.

Ability to interpret technical drawings, resolve on-site issues, manage project priorities, and ensure smooth project execution.

Strong communication, coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to independently lead technical meetings and coordinate with project stakeholders.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced project environment, managing multiple priorities, and responding effectively to changing site requirements.

Proficient in Microsoft Office. Familiarity with MS Project or Primavera P6 will be an added advantage.

Willing to travel and work at project sites nationwide to support project requirements. *Note: Accommodation allowances are available for eligible candidates residing outside the project state who are required to relocate for work.
