Job summary

Hwa Hin Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead on-site teams and ensure project execution from planning through completion.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering or related field, 5–10 years of factory or related project experience, Mandarin proficiency, and strong leadership and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and project management software is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in factory or related projects.
• Ability to communicate and write in Mandarin for Mandarin-speaking customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project team in all construction and safety matters and assist in post-contract management.
• Report project progress and status to management regularly.
• Develop and expedite the work program with proper sequencing and methods of work.
• Attend client and consultant meetings; organize meetings with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Coordinate with Contract, Safety, and Resources Departments on site matters.
• Ensure proper project and contract documentation; manage progress, variation orders, and final accounts.
• Oversee quality management, including material testing and site inspections, and compliance with SOPs.
• Plan and manage resources in line with the approved budget and allocate subcontractor workforce.

Job description

Lead the project team in all construction and safety matters and assist in post-contract management.

The project team includes:
a. Site Agent
b. Site Engineer
c. Project Executive
d. Contract Executive
e. Senior Site Supervisor
f. Site Supervisor
g. Safety Officer
h. Safety Supervisor

Reporting

Report project progress and status to management regularly.

Project Management

Time Management: Develop and expedite the work program, ensuring proper sequencing and methods of work.

Attend client and consultant meetings.

Organize meetings with subcontractors and suppliers.

Coordinate with the Contract, Safety, and Resources Departments on site matters.

Project Implementation

Ensure proper project and contract documentation.

Coordinate and resolve technical issues among all relevant parties.

Handle CPC/CMGD applications and related documentation.

Assist in progress and subcontractor claim certification, variation orders, abortive works, and final account matters.

Quality Management

Oversee pre-planning and project implementation.

Ensure material testing and site inspections are carried out.

Ensure compliance with Hwa Hin's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Resource Management

Plan and manage resources in accordance with the approved budget.

Plan and allocate subcontractor workforce effectively.

Ensure project teams carry out works according to Hwa Hin SOP.

Assist the HQ Resources Department in handling materials, manpower, machinery, and equipment.

Support and promote Hwa Hin's safety policies and initiatives.

Requirements:

Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

5-10 years of experience in Factory or related projects.

The candidate must possess the ability to communicate and write in Mandarin-speaking candidates who will be serving Mandarin-speaking customers.

Knowledge of construction methodologies, project scheduling, and site coordination.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and project management software (preferred).

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and travel to project sites when required.
