Responsibilities include planning, budgeting, procurement, contract management, risk control, and coordinating with clients, vendors, and consultants.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil/Structural/Electrical/Mechanical) or equivalent.
  • At least 10 years of working experience in large-scale engineering projects with a minimum of 3 years in water/wastewater projects.
  • Proven leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to manage projects end-to-end.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct and manage project planning, budgeting, cost control, design, procurement, construction and related work.
  • Oversee contract management, costing and bidding processes.
  • Manage payments, cash flow and overall project budget.
  • Coordinate internal & external communications and liaise with stakeholders.
  • Lead site operations including subcontractors, procurement, testing and commissioning.
  • Develop and manage project teams and coordinate with Head Office on project issues.

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to lead project(s) in West Malaysia. The ideal candidate will have 10 years of experience in large-scale engineering projects, including a minimum of 3 years in water/ wastewater projects. This role requires exceptional leadership, project management, and interpersonal skills to oversee all aspects of project execution and ensure alignment with company goals in terms of cost, time, and quality.

Responsibilities:

To manage Project(s) to achieve company and project goals (in terms of cost, time, quality and customer satisfaction) by performing the following effectively and efficiently:

To plan, direct and manage activities/ matters concerning project planning, budgeting, cost control, design, procurement, construction, and other related work/matters, which include:

project planning, programming, and work progress;

contract management, costing, and bidding;

payment claims, cash flow and overall project budget;

internal & external communication;

construction (including management of subcontractors);

procurement (including management of vendors);

testing and commissioning;

To establish, develop and manage project team(s).

To plan, direct and manage the day-to-day operations of the project team.

To identify and manage project risk.

To manage consultants engaged by the Company for projects.

To liaise with clients, vendors, consultants, authorities, stakeholders, internal departments/sections, and any other stakeholders as needed.

To manage the Site Office administration and logistic work.

To coordinate with the Head Office on project-related matters.

To participate in tendering activities for new projects as needed.

To undertake other tasks assigned by the Company Management as required.

Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil/ Structural/ Electrical/ Mechanical), Project/ Construction Management or equivalent.

At least 10 years of working experience in large-scale engineering projects with min. 3 years in similar capacity, and familiar with Water/ Wastewater/ infrastructural projects.

Able to deal with harsh situations and have an impressive track record in handling major government projects.

Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin will be an advantage.

Excellent interpersonal, presentation and project management skills.

Willing to travel and relocate.

A candidate with fewer qualifications/experience may be considered for a less senior position.
