Job summary

KDDI Malaysia is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead complex cabling and IT infrastructure projects in Kuala Lumpur. You will define scope, craft detailed plans, manage budgets and risks, and oversee cross-functional teams including postsales engineers, vendors, and subcontractors.

You will act as the primary client contact, ensuring clear communication and alignment with requirements, schedules, and quality standards. Regular reporting to senior management and clients is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IT project management, with at least 2 years in cabling projects.
• Proven track record delivering complex IT and cabling projects.
• Familiarity with Waterfall, Agile, PMBOK, PRINCE2.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and structured cabling systems.

Responsibilities

Documentation & Reporting

Prepare project documentation including work breakdown structure (WBS), issue management list and progress reports.

Maintain accurate records of project activities, changes, and approvals.

Provide regular updates to senior management and clients.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Expertise

Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, structured cabling systems, and system integration.

Familiarity with project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, PMBOK, PRINCE2).

Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Trello, or equivalent).

Soft Skills
