Job summary

Huawei Technologies in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead delivery of Public Cloud and Private Cloud projects, coordinate with Sales, and ensure timely delivery while managing risks and costs.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years in ICT/cloud project management, with strong leadership and communication across teams. Familiarity with cloud services and PMP certification preferred.

Qualifications

Involved in early stage cloud project engagement, work with Sales teams to provide services, business and technical knowledge in support of pre-sales activities.

Involve in delivery solution design, solution clarification, and contract negotiation during the pre-sales process, organize and review how to deal with project risks from the perspective of delivery results and business objectives.

Lead the delivery of Public Cloud and Private Cloud projects, AZs, and resource expansion, customer application and data migration to Huawei Cloud. Develop overall project plan and phase-by-phase plan, identify project risks, and ensure timely project delivery.

Communicate project expectations clearly and promptly to team members and stakeholders.

Identify and resolve project issues and conflicts, and prepare timely progress reports, proposals, requirement documentation, and presentations.

Proactively manage changes in project scope, assess potential crises, and develop contingency plans to minimize risks and manage cost escalation.

Ensure all project activities comply with the company's project management processes and business compliance standards.

Ensure that Project cost/revenues are tracked properly and ensure proper implementation of the revenue recognition process.

Bachelor's degree or above in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of project management experience in the ICT, cloud infrastructure, or telecommunication industry, with solid knowledge of project scope, progress, quality, and communication management.

Proven experience in implementing best practice project management methodologies and processes; familiarity with cloud service development is an advantage.

Cloud/PMP certificates or equivalent certificates in the industry are preferred.

Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams, subcontractors, and performance processes.

Demonstrated capacity to provide leadership in the development and implementation of strategies to successfully deal with contemporary project issues.

Self-motivated and able to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Strong written and oral communication skills. Good cross-department, cross-team, cross-project, and cross-level communication capabilities.

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial, including the capacity to set priorities and work to deadlines.
