Job summary

Heitech Padu Berhad is seeking a seasoned Project Manager in Malaysia to plan, execute, and close IT/infrastructure projects within scope, schedule, budget, and quality. You will lead project teams, manage stakeholders, mitigate risks, and ensure customer satisfaction across the project lifecycle.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 5–10 years of PM experience, with PMP/PRINCE2/Agile certifications considered an asset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Engineering, Business, Project Management, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in project management or relevant domain.
• Proven track record delivering IT or infrastructure projects.
• Certification in PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of PMBOK, PRINCE2, Agile methodologies.
• Proficient with MS Project, JIRA, dashboards, and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, monitor and close projects to meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives.
• Lead project teams, manage resources, and coordinate with vendors and stakeholders.
• Monitor progress using KPIs and dashboards; take corrective actions as needed.

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing projects to ensure delivery within the agreed scope, schedule, cost, and quality standards. This role oversees project teams, manages stakeholders, mitigates risks, and ensures that all project objectives and customer expectations are met.

Responsibilities

Responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and closing a project while ensuring it meets the scope, schedule, budget, quality, and business objectives.

Project Planning & Initiation

• Develop project charters, scope statements, work breakdown structures (WBS), and detailed project plans.


• Identify project resources, roles, and responsibilities.


• Establish project baselines for schedule, cost, and deliverables.

Project Execution & Delivery

• Lead and manage the project team to execute tasks according to the approved plan.


• Ensure deliverables meet quality, performance, and compliance standards.


• Coordinate with technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.

Project Monitoring & Control

• Track project performance using KPIs, dashboards, and progress reports.


• Monitor budget, costs, timelines, deliverables, and resource utilisation.


• Identify deviations and implement corrective actions.


• Manage risks and issues through continuous assessment and escalation when required.

Stakeholder & Communication Management

• Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.


• Organise and chair project meetings, steering committees, and client briefings.


• Prepare weekly/monthly status reports for management and clients.


• Ensure adherence to contractual obligations, SLAs, and scope.


• Review and approve PR/PO, invoices, and project-related financial documents.


• Manage vendor performance and deliverables.

Documentation & Compliance

• Ensure all project documents (SOW, minutes, reports, change requests, acceptance forms) are complete and updated.


• Ensure compliance with organisational PMO framework, policies, and quality standards.


• Support audit requirements and provide necessary documentation.

Project Closure

• Conduct project review, post-mortem analysis, and lessons learned.


• Ensure all deliverables are formally accepted by the customer.


• Complete final documentation, contract closure, and handover.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Engineering, Business, Project Management, or equivalent.

Minimum 5–10 years of experience in project management or relevant domain.

Proven track record delivering medium to large-scale IT or infrastructure projects.

Certification in PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent is an added advantage.

Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (PMBOK, PRINCE2, Agile).

Proficient in MS Project, JIRA, dashboard tools, and project reporting software.

Strong documentation, financial tracking, and vendor management skills.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
