Job summary

IAQ ENERGY FACILITY MANAGEMENT SDN. BHD. is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead large onshore EPCC initiatives in Malaysia.

The role requires a degree in engineering and extensive PM experience, including managing projects valued over RM100 million. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential. The candidate will organize and guide the project team, coordinate engineering and procurement activities, ensure on-time delivery within budget, and maintain safety

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 15+ years in project management and 8+ years as Project Manager.
• Onshore EPCC project experience with contract value > RM100 million.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Professional certifications such as PMP or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to prioritize and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure commitments to complete the project on time and within budget.
• Prepare master works program, schedules, and resource plans for the contract period.
• Organize the project team and assign responsibilities to down-line personnel.
• Mobilize engineering, procurement, and construction resources for project execution.
• Monitor and coordinate engineering and procurement activities; review technical and contractual requirements.
• Study and revise progress to meet project targets.
• Initiate remedial actions to maintain schedule progress.
• Negotiate and settle contractual changes.
• Attend subcontractor/site/safety/consultant meetings.
• Ensure quality meets specifications; create safe working environments.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Job description

Minimum qualification requirements for this position:

Degree in Engineering or equivalent;

At least 15 years working in project management and 8 years’ experience as Project Manager and has completed 1 onshore EPCC project with contract value more than RM100 million as Project Manager;

Special Skills MS Office application;

Professional certifications such as PMP or equivalent are highly desirable;

Strong leadership and team management skills;

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities;

Able to prioritize and work well under pressure to meet strict deadlines;

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Ensure commitments as to complete the project on time and to budgeted cost;

Preparation of master works program and other works schedule as well as resource plans prior and during contract period;

Organize the project team and assign responsibilities to down-line supporting personnel for the performance of work and various work activities;

Utilize and mobilize the required services of engineering personnel, procurement, construction plant and etc. for the project execution;

Monitor and coordinate the engineering and procurement activities. Conduct technical and contractual reviews to ensure that the work is being executed in accordance with contractual requirement and the targeted completion of project is met;

Study and revise actual and planned work progress in order to achieve the project target;

Initiate necessary remedial actions to maintain the project to progress on schedule;

Negotiate and settle all contractual changes;

Conduct sub-contractors’ meeting, site safety meeting and attend consultant’s/ client’s meeting;

Ensure quality of work is up to specified requirements;

Create a safe and clean working environment through adherence to requirements of statutory agencies;

Accountable for the quality, safety, health and environmental management and performance at the workplace and project site.
