We are looking for a hands-on and resourceful Project Executive / Project Manager to coordinate and manage our poultry farm development and upgrading projects.
The role covers the full project lifecycle, from early planning and government approvals through site preparation, construction, installation and project completion.
You will work closely with architects, town planners, engineers, contractors, suppliers and government agencies, while coordinating internally with our farm operations and management teams.
Coordinate applications for Planning Permission / Kebenaran Merancang (KM), building plans and other approvals required for farm development.
Liaise with architects, town planners, engineers, surveyors and other consultants in preparing and submitting applications.
Follow up closely with local councils, Land Offices, DVS/JPV, JPS, TNB and other relevant government agencies.
Attend meetings, site inspections and discussions with consultants and authorities.
Monitor approval conditions and ensure that required submissions, documents and follow-up actions are completed.
Assist management in resolving issues involving land use, access roads, utilities, drainage, infrastructure and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate projects from the initial planning stage through construction and completion.
Prepare project timelines, work schedules and progress tracking.
Coordinate land clearing, earthworks, drainage, road access, utilities and other site preparation works.
Coordinate construction of poultry houses and supporting infrastructure.
Work with contractors, consultants, equipment suppliers and internal departments to ensure works progress according to plan.
Monitor construction progress, workmanship and completion against agreed timelines and specifications.
Identify delays, site problems and project risks and escalates them promptly to management.
Coordinate site meetings and follow up on outstanding action items.
Coordinate the conversion of existing poultry farms from open-house to closed-house systems.
Assess existing site conditions together with management, consultants and suppliers.
Coordinate demolition, rebuilding, structural works and installation of poultry equipment where required.
Work with ventilation, cooling, feeding, drinking, electrical and other equipment suppliers.
Coordinate the conversion programme while taking into account farm operations and production schedules.
Obtain quotations and assist in comparing contractors, consultants and suppliers.
Coordinate scope of works and clarify project requirements with appointed parties.
Monitor contractor progress claims and completed works for management review.
Keep proper records of quotations, approvals, drawings, progress reports, variations and project correspondence.
Assist management in controlling project costs and identifying unnecessary or avoidable expenditure.
Maintain organised records for each project including approvals, plans, drawings, quotations, contracts and correspondence.
Prepare regular project progress updates for management.
Maintain a project tracker covering approvals, construction milestones, outstanding issues, responsible parties and deadlines.
Document site conditions and progress through picture, reports and meeting notes.
Candidates with relevant practical experience are encouraged to apply.
Experience in construction, property development, industrial projects, agricultural projects or government approval processes will be an advantage.
Experience dealing with local authorities and government agencies is highly advantageous.
Able to read and understand basic construction drawings and site plans.
Strong coordination, follow-up and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable dealing with contractors, consultants, government officers and internal operational teams.
Able to work independently and take ownership of projects.
Willing to travel regularly to project sites in Penang, Kedah and Perak.
Possess valid driving licence.
Good command of Bahasa Malaysia is important for communication with authorities and contractors.
Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin/Hokkien will be an added advantage.
Hands-on — willing to visit sites and understand what is actually happening on the ground.
