Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Geomatics/Geoinformatics professional for a Full-Time position in Malaysia. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of geomatics/land surveying experience, with a demonstrated ability to lead a team.

You will prepare and manage project documentation, monitor fieldwork, and ensure compliance with QMS and SOPs while coordinating with Project and Operations teams. Salary ranges between MYR 2,200 and 3,000 monthly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geoinformatics, Geomatics or Land Surveying from a recognized institution.
• Demonstrates leadership and teamwork abilities.
• One year of geomatics/land surveying experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, coordinate, and manage project documentation including work scope, work instructions, reports, and submissions.
• Monitor fieldwork progress and data processing status.
• Maintain and update project files for audit and QMS compliance.
• Liaise between Project and Operations to ensure smooth execution.
• Coordinate tasks of Technical Supervisors and Technical Assistants.
• Review data outputs for alignment with project requirements and scope.
• Prepare technical information and work scope for field teams.
• Coordinate project-related invoice claims when required.
• Communicate with authorities on technical and operational matters as instructed.
• Monitor performance of field staff at project sites.
• Ensure SOPs, safety rules and discipline are followed.
• Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment per requirements.
• Safeguard company assets at project sites.
• Assist in resolving basic field issues and report to PM.
• Carry out management instructions as needed.

Responsibilities

• 1. Prepare, coordinate, and manage project documentation including work scope, work instructions, reports, and submissions.
• 2. Monitor the progress of fieldwork and the status of project data processing.
• 3. Maintain and update project files for audit purposes and compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS).
• 4. Act as a liaison between the Project and Operations departments to ensure smooth project execution.
• 5. Monitor and coordinate the tasks of Technical Supervisors and Technical Assistants.
• 6. Review data processing outputs to ensure alignment with project requirements, specifications, and scope.
• 7. Prepare technical information and work scope for field teams prior to commencement of work.
• 8. Prepare and coordinate project-related invoice claims when required.
• 9. Liaise with relevant authorities or agencies on technical and operational matters, including documentation follow-up, in accordance with instructions from the SPM/PM.
• 10. Monitor the work performance of the Chief Field Surveyor and Field Surveyors at project sites.
• 11. Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety requirements, and field team discipline.
• 12. Ensure surveying equipment is properly maintained and calibrated in accordance with requirements.
• 13. Safeguard and ensure the security of company assets at project sites.
• 14. Assist in resolving basic technical issues in the field and report to the Project Manager for further action.
• 15. Carry out management instructions from time to time in line with organizational requirements.

Requirements
