Job summary

OCEAN PLUMBING ENGINEERING SDN. BHD. in Penang seeks a Project Engineer to join our dynamic team, reporting to the Project Manager and delivering complex engineering projects with strong PM and technical problem-solving skills.

You will prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor projects, ensure codes and QA/QC compliance, interact with clients, mentor team members, and support project managers across Penang, Johor Bahru, Kulim, or Ipoh as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree / diploma in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in project planning and execution.
• Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Advanced MS Office skills.
• Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Based in Penang with driver’s license and own transport.
• Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards.
• Ability to work on multiple discipline projects.
• Strong project management and supervision skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.
• Interact with clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.
• Perform overall quality control of work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel performance) and report regularly on project status.
• Assign responsibilities and mentor project team members.
• Cooperate and communicate effectively with project managers and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
• Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
