Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia seeks an experienced Project Manager specializing in plumbing and mechanical systems to lead on-site execution, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure timely delivery.

You will supervise installations, manage budgets and BOQs, and enforce health and safety standards across the site, working closely with clients, main contractors, consultants, and subcontractors to maintain quality and adherence to schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Plumbing & Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in construction or plumbing/mechanical project management.
• Strong knowledge of building services, BIM/CAD workflows, and contract administration.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily on-site plumbing and mechanical installations, testing, and commissioning.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Project Execution: Supervise daily on-site plumbing and mechanical installations, testing, and commissioning.
• Planning & Scheduling: Develop work to ensure alignment with overall project timelines.
• Budget & Cost Control: Monitor site budgets, review Bill of Quantities (BOQ), evaluate subcontractor progress claims, and manage variation orders.
• Coordination: Lead communication between clients, main contractors, consultants, and plumbing and mechanical subcontractors.
• Quality & Safety (HSE): Enforce strict compliance with local building codes, health regulations, and quality standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Plumbing & Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in construction or plumbing and mechanical project management.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of building services, BIM/CAD workflows, and contract administration.
• Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
