Job summary

Tasek Corporation Berhad, Ipoh, Malaysia, is seeking a Project Engineer to coordinate mechanical and civil interfaces from design to closeout. You will monitor progress, ensure quality and safety, and liaise with contractors and vendors across disciplines.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant engineering experience, with strong AutoCAD skills and the ability to interpret drawings and P&IDs. Proactive budgeting, tender support and proper documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or civil engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of engineering/project experience in industrial environments.
• Experience in project execution, site coordination and commissioning.
• Proficient reading of drawings, layouts and P&IDs.
• Familiar with CAPEX, cost monitoring and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate project activities from design through closeout.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor progress, schedules and quality.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, vendors and internal teams.
• Monitor costs, CAPEX expenditure and budgets for overruns.
• Support tendering, procurement, bid evaluation and vendor coordination.
• Prepare and update engineering drawings, layouts and P&IDs.
• Review vendor/consultant drawings and provide input.
• Prepare progress reports, meeting minutes and records.
• Support project closeout and asset capitalization.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, ISO, 5S and statutory requirements.
