Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to support project execution at Telok Gong, Klang. You will review drawings, plan activities, and coordinate with engineering, procurement, and fabrication teams to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. You will work at an Oil & Gas fabrication yard and assist in schedules, method statements, and material planning under supervision.

Qualifications

• Min. Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specifications, and technical documents to understand project requirements and identify discrepancies.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor project activities to ensure safety, schedule, budget, and quality alignment.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, fabrication, QA/QC, HSE, planning and other teams for smooth execution.
• Provide technical guidance and support to supervisors, foremen, subcontractors and site personnel.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, vendors and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Monitor work progress and ensure compliance with specs, procedures, drawings, codes and standards.
• Attend project meetings, site inspections and coordination meetings; follow up on actions.
• Assist in preparing project schedules, work plans, method statements, materials, and technical docs.
• Raise PRs and coordinate with Procurement/Expediting for timely material delivery.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities to meet scope, schedule, and quality.
• Identify risks, issues, delays and propose practical mitigations.
• Monitor resources, productivity, and progress; prepare reports for management.
• Ensure activities comply with HSE requirements and promote safety.
• Support testing, commissioning, handover, and close-out activities as needed.
• Perform any other duties assigned by PM or supervisor.

• Raise Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and coordinate with Procurement and Expediting teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities and ensure work is performed in accordance with the approved scope, schedule, and quality requirements.
• Identify project risks, technical issues, and potential delays, and propose practical solutions to minimize project impact.
• Monitor project resources, productivity, and progress, and prepare periodic reports for management.
• Ensure project activities comply with HSE requirements and promote a safe working environment.
• Support testing, commissioning, handover, and project close-out activities where applicable.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the PM or immediate superior.
